We are seeking a confident individual with good knowledge of the machining or welding of sheet metal, to join our client as a Quality Inspector. The role is working in the Quality department of their large modern factory in Stanton, Suffolk.
It is a full-time role, working 39 hours per week from 8:00 – 16:30 Mon to Thurs, and 8:00 – 15:30 on Fridays with overtime available during the week. The annual salary for the role ranges from £26,000 - £28,000 per annum plus overtime, and the company offers 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays annually.

They have achieved enormous success in their field due to their reputation for quality products and on-site engineering expertise. The Role
Working as part of a two-person team, you’ll be responsible for checking the quality of all machined components used within the production of the company’s products.
Duties and responsibilities include:
1. Identifying any rejects/reworks
2. Manage process improvements through communicating with all departments.
3. Log and monitor quality issues
4. Monitor and expedite design improvements.
5. Be involved in establishing quality standards for production of new products.
6. Assist in improving and implementing process change to ensure repetitive mistakes are minimised.
7. Perform measurements of all parts requiring quality checks.
8. Maintain gauge calibration status within the organisation.
9. Partake in quality audits when required and report any findings to your colleague.
Role Requirements
Essential requirements to be considered for this role are:
1. Experience working with sheet metal in some capacity (machining or welding ideally)
2. The ability to read engineering drawings
3. An excellent attention to detail and eye for accuracy
4. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to communicate quality issues with different departments
5. Own driving licence to get to the company’s rural location as it is inaccessible via public transport.
