Our client is currently looking for a polisher/inspector to provide comprehensive metal polishing and inspection services.
Job duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen, and mirror.
2. Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components.
3. Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes, and CMM or Faro.
4. Inspection of goods in, goods out, subcontract work, and all purchased parts.
5. Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI).
6. In-process and finished goods inspection.
7. Process auditing.
8. Calibration of measuring equipment.
9. Signing first and last inspection reports.
10. Reporting of non-conforming parts.
11. To ensure zero defects reach the end user.
12. Entering technical data onto computer spreadsheet package.
Person Specification:
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Must have PCN Level 2.
3. Be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training.
4. Co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise, and attend appropriate training.
5. Be aware of and adhere to policies and procedures applicable to the role.
Shifts:
Monday – Thursday: 7am – 16:45pm
7am – 7pm
7pm – 7am.
This is a permanent position for the right person.
