We are excited to offer two full-time Band 7 Mental Health Ward Manager positions across our inpatients Mental Health Wards. These positions provide an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dynamic leader to join our multidisciplinary team and make a significant impact on patient care and ward management.
As a Ward Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the clinical, operational, and administrative aspects of the ward. You will oversee a team of skilled professionals and work collaboratively to provide high-quality, person-centred care for individuals in mental health crisis.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Mental Health professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering excellent care. The successful candidate will have:
* NMC Registration (or equivalent) as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or other relevant qualification.
* Significant post-registration experience in mental health settings, with at least 2 years in a senior clinical role.
* Previous experience in a managerial or leadership position within a mental health setting.
* Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team and ensure high standards of care delivery.
* Experience in quality improvement, risk management, and staff development.
