Job overview
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Medical Secretary to join the Neuro-Rehabilitation and Major Trauma Teams working at the University Hospital of Llandough. The post is full time (37.5 hours) Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and work well within a team. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the consultant teams within Neuro-Rehabilitation and Major Trauma at University Hospital Llandough. Duties include acting as first point of contact for patients and relatives, typing of letters, sorting incoming/outgoing post, answering departmental phone calls, and booking patient appointments.

* Audio typing and transcription typing

* Advanced experience of secretarial/administrative work
* Demonstrable experience of working in a busy clinical office environment
