Manager Decisioning and Insights - Mules/ First Party Fraud, Leeds
This role is based in Leeds, UK, within the UK Fraud Decisioning & Insights team at HSBC. The team manages fraud detection systems, investigates root causes of fraud, and collaborates with operational teams to develop effective strategies against fraud typologies, including Mules and First Party Fraud.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Analyzing fraud patterns and enhancing detection strategies.
2. Monitoring fraud detection system performance.
3. Data analysis to identify trends and risks.
4. Conducting root-cause analysis and escalating issues.
5. Collaborating with operational teams on fraud alert treatments.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency in Python for scripting and data analysis.
* Experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
* Knowledge of fraud detection systems (e.g., SAS EFM, Falcon, BioCatch, Hunter, ThreatMetrix) is advantageous.
* Understanding of Mules/First Party Fraud and multiple fraud typologies is a plus.
* Relevant experience in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar fields.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
