This role will also oversee our 3PL (third-party logistics) partners in Africa, who offer warehousing services for GNFR (goods not for resale) & e-commerce operations. In both regions, the role will be required to ensure that day to day operations is managed – ensuring SLAs are met, cost is controlled, and safety is ensured. Reporting via Visual Boards and the use of LEAN boards to support an improvement culture. Role Overview Operations Lead E-Commerce Operations • Oversee the management of all warehousing operations in the UK supporting ecommerce fulfilment • SLA management to ensure service expectations are met • Management of stock flows and process control. Visual tools critical to ensure process flow • Safety & Compliance is paramount and covered. • Staff management and safety on site. Goods Not for Re-sale (GNFR) Back of House and Non-Stock Items & 3PL Management • Oversee the management of back-of-house operations and the storage of non-stock item flows. • Management of any stock in the region around consumables • Ensure these items are organized, accessible, and accounted for in inventory records. • Manage customer requests via Zendesk and Shopify ordering platforms • As needed, engage with 3PL providers for services to support warehousing and storage. • Manage 3PL providers via VMB (Visual Management Boards) & LEAN tools. OSH & Compliance Site Security, Maintenance & Compliance: • Ensure the security of the warehouse premises, including implementing security protocols and monitoring systems. • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure the warehouse is kept in good condition and equipment is functioning • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in warehousing and logistics. • Implement and oversee a robust incident and hazard reporting system, KPI reporting and audits Onboarding & Staff Management Team Member Onboarding: • Manage the onboarding process for new warehouse team members, including training and orientation. • Ensure new hires are well-integrated into the team and understand their roles and responsibilities. Reporting & LEAN Boards Visual Lean Boards • Lovisa Warehousing utilizes visual Lean Boards to track and communicate safety and compliance metrics. • Ensure boards are updated and communicated Direct Report Management • Warehouse team of c. 7 staff in Leeds; 3PL service providers in Africa. • Set performance goals and KPIs for warehouse staff and regularly evaluate their performance. • Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to improve team performance.
