Morgan Hunt currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Manager to join our client on a permanent basis in Edinburgh.
* Public Holidays: 10 days
* Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with 1-2 days per week in the office (Edinburgh/Glasgow)
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the organizational lead for infrastructure, overseeing all projects, processes, and technology in this area.
* Act as the senior technical expert to resolve infrastructure issues, providing guidance, training, and support to the infrastructure team.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the infrastructure team to deliver exceptional services.
* Manage all on-site and cloud infrastructure.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the Technology and Digital department, including the End User Support Manager, Cyber Security Lead, and Applications Manager, to ensure the infrastructure meets organizational needs.
* Act as the escalation point for all infrastructure issues.
* Oversee the lifecycle management of all infrastructure hardware and software assets.
* Ensure that cyber security is a primary consideration for all projects and improvements.
* Work closely with the Cyber Security Lead to secure all CAS infrastructure.
* Advise the Head of Technology and Digital on optimal infrastructure solutions aligned with the CAS strategic plan.
* Support the Head of Technology and Digital in developing and implementing an IT infrastructure roadmap to support CAS's ambitions.
* Provide regular service performance and project status reports to the Head of Technology and Digital.
* Ensure IT business continuity by developing, maintaining, and testing disaster recovery plans for agreed services.
* Deliver the agreed IT components of projects.
Required Skills and Experience
* Extensive hands-on experience administering and delivering infrastructure solutions in a complex, multisite environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft server technologies.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Experience with Windows Server administration.
* Expertise in Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
* Proficiency in MS setup and administration.
* Experience with telephony administration.
* Significant experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V and VMWare).
* Thorough understanding of LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP.
