Job Title: Senior Tender Engineer - Protection & Control Solutions

Due to continuous expansion in the energy market, they are looking to grow their tendering team with a talented Senior Tender Engineer specializing in Protection & Control.
Role Summary: In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering a wide range of Protection and Control solutions within the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector. Working closely with both customer-facing sales and proposal teams, you will be a solution architect and technical expert, supporting the successful delivery of client requirements. The role involves assuming the lead or liaising with the lead for specific bids, completing pre-qualification and proposal documents, preparing cost estimates, and addressing client queries.
You will also be responsible for interpreting clients' requirements to develop compliant solutions, identifying suitable suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships with technology providers to ensure up-to-date solutions. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge in Protection and Control systems and a commercial mindset to help the company stand out from competitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Business Development Managers to provide technical support, including developing Protection and Control system architectures and preparing cost estimates.
2. Ensure compliance with internal governance and tendering processes for bid submissions.
3. Conduct site surveys for Transmission and Distribution projects to understand the scope, scale, and implementation strategies for Protection and Control schemes.
4. Work with third-party suppliers to produce subcontract specifications and review their tender submissions for compliance and value.
5. Create well-structured and competitive proposal documents that highlight the company’s differentiators within the T&D sector.
Desired Skills and Experience:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Protection and Control engineering, with a focus on software, hardware, or electrical engineering.
2. Strong understanding of the engineering processes involved in developing and executing successful solutions within the T&D sector.
3. Familiarity with Substation Protection and Control systems, as well as PLC/SCADA technology architectures.
4. Experience in tendering, with a reasonable level of commercial acumen and an ability to produce technically and commercially comprehensive proposal documents.
5. Ability to work under tight deadlines and independently manage multiple stakeholders.
