JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to be part of our team based in Greenford Quay. This is a permanent full-time opportunity available, 40 hours per week.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of one of the UK's largest purpose-built Multifamily (Build to Rent) developments based on the ground of the historic grand union canal, in Greenford. The development is bringing the previously derelict 20.3 acre site back to life and will consist of over 2000 homes across 7 buildings - all with on-site management and resident amenities including roof terraces, resident lounges and courtyards.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Role Responsibilities
1. Providing high standard repairs and maintenance tasks
2. Ensuring that our residents enjoy a safe, fully functioning and well-maintained place to live
3. Inspecting and diagnosing faults and repairs
4. Carrying out minor repairs
5. Ensuring we maintain overall appearance of building(s), grounds and equipment through regular maintenance and decoration
6. Carrying out weekly, monthly and annual PPM
7. You will also be expected to participate in an on-call rota for out of hours emergencies
About You
1. Demonstrate experience in a similar role, undertaking repairs and maintenance, ideally in a residential environment, along with a relevant multi-skilled trade background (e.g. building, plumbing, electric or carpentry)
2. Strong understanding of risk assessments and planned preventative maintenance
3. Ability to support the Facilities Manager to meet our obligations to operate a safe building
4. Ability to determine the most cost-effective solutions to repairs without sacrificing on quality
5. Good communication and customer service skills
6. A plumbing or electrical specialism would be ideal, an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate is desirable.
7. This role operates on a rota shift basis working 40 hours across 5 days (Including some weekends).
