Mount Scopus Memorial College is a co-educational Jewish School from Early Learning to Year 12 across three campuses; St Kilda East, Caulfield South and Burwood.
The College is seeking to appoint a part-time Education Support Officer to join the Individual Learning Team in the Primary School. The position available is (0.54) FTE part-time working three days per week at our Primary School in St Kilda East. Your hours of work will be from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during term time only with paid school holidays.
The role of the Education Support Officer is to support teaching and learning and encourage learners, guided by classroom teachers. Support will take place in the classrooms and with learners in small groups and one on one to help review, enhance, teach and consolidate skills with children. The role also includes fostering children’s independence, resilience, and confidence. The actions and interactions of the Education Support Officer will be based on our learning principles.
Applicants:
1. should have experience in working in a similar environment and/or position. This is preferred but not essential.
2. must have a sound understanding of the Child Safe Standards and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
3. must hold a current Working with Children Check.
