1:1 General Tutor Location: Nottingham Role Overview: As a General Tutor, you will provide one-on-one tutoring sessions, helping students develop their academic skills across a wide range of subjects. You will tailor your approach to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that lessons are engaging, accessible, and challenging. Your support will empower students to build confidence, improve their knowledge, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide personalised tuition to students in a variety of subjects Assess students' strengths and areas for improvement and develop tailored learning plans Deliver engaging lessons, adapting teaching methods to suit the individual needs and learning styles of students Monitor students' progress, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as needed Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and progress Help students develop strong study skills and a growth mindset Essential Criteria: Experience in tutoring or teaching, ideally across a range of subjects Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport with students and create a supportive learning environment Strong organisational skills and the ability to plan and deliver structured lessons A genuine passion for helping students succeed A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one) Knowledge of exam boards and the curriculum for GCSEs, A-Levels, or other qualifications Why Join Us: The chance to have a real, lasting impact on students’ academic and personal growth.
