My client who is an excellentChildren's Care Provider are looking for an experiencedRegistered Manager who is passionate about providing the higheststandard of care. In this role you will be responsible for theprovision of leadership direction and management of the residentialchildren’s service and ensure that the service iscompliant with Children’s Homes Regulations. This rolealso involves the supervision and mentoring of staff organisationof work patterns and facilitation of care focused training andaccessing of appropriate services to support childcare practiceswithin the home.

Salary: is£44000£51000 plus a £11000 bonusscheme if targets are met

RequiredQualifications:
•Level 5Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare orProfessional or vocational qualification required for service area(DipSW CQSW NVQ Level 3 caring for Children and YoungPeople/Residential Care and Family Support Nursing qualificationRNLD).
• Management qualification (MBADMS NVQ Level 4 Care Management) or equivalent
• Registered Manager Status anyone appointed tothe post without a required qualification would be required toundertake and achieve the qualification within three years of theirstarting date
Experience:
• Broad experience of staff supervision/practicesupervision
• Experience of workingwith children and young people in a residential setting or otherequivalent experience
• Experience ofcare planning services for looked after children
• Management of Social Care Services or jointservices
About the Role:
To be responsible for the organisation management andsupervision of residential services for children.
To be responsible for the teambased development of a highquality looked after children practice by ensuring that work isappropriately planned critically evaluated and reviewed and thatkey performance indicators are met.
Tocontribute to overall strategic planning and management of theservice and to the development of high quality services
To lead the team ensuring that the functions of theservice are carried out effectively and in accordance with thelegislation regulations guidance standards and local procedures andpriorities.
To continually improve services inlight of the service user views performance data and stakeholderfeedback
To manage the team in line with servicepolicy procedures and guidelines
To implementsupervision policies particularly as it relates to residentialstaff
Address any issues concerning staffwelfare in accordance with policies and procedures
Comply with health and Safety regulations
Ensure effective induction of new staff as per policyguidelines
Ensure training and development ofthe staff within the team are evaluated and actioned in accordancewith the needs of the young people.
Managementof budgets held by the residential home under spancontrol
Manage allocation of work
Contribute to the development of unit costs for theresidential homes activity
Participate in out ofhours management cover as appropriate to the residentialhome
Drive quality of practice particularly inrelation to risk assessments record keeping and meeting ofstatutory timescales.
Establish sustain anddevelop a quality audit system within the service.
Supervise staff in accordance with the supervision policyincluding the regular audit of practice
Sharelearning about good practice and contribute to training anddevelopment activities to progress continuous professionaldevelopment for all residential staff.
Contribute to devising implementing and evaluation ofchanges with the involvement of front line staff to continuallyimprove services systems and standards in conjunction with thedirectorial team.
