To produce technical drawings to enable the workshop team to accurately fabricate the correct materials for our customers/projects.
To work with the architectural drawings and translate this into a technical drawing that can be used and understood by the site installation team when constructing the build or installing the design for the end customer.
Key Responsibilities
1. Liaise with architects, engineers, site managers to ensure drawing requirements are complete and any changes documented.
2. Collaborate with estimators about architecture and engineering drawing and estimator’s quotes for requirements of project and any updates required.
3. Compare architect drawing with engineering drawing to ensure consistency.
4. Edit technical draughts based on the recommendations of project engineers and architects.
5. Outline the project’s construction process on the technical drawings.
6. Liaise with Drawing Office Manager to have drawings checked and approved before issuing drawings to the workshop.
7. Ensure all information is provided on drawings to ensure usability.
8. Ensure materials lists are provided with drawings and given to Operations Manager.
9. Use relevant computer-aided design software to create technical drawings.
10. Transfer CNC files from software to the Drawing Office Assistant to program plasma machines correctly.

Experience/Education/Qualifications
1. Knowledge of the Steel, Construction Industry to enable understanding of client requirements and to question/probe further where required.
2. A relevant degree or experience in structural engineering or similar, related subject in drawing/design.
3. Preferred experience using drawing software such as Tekla or Autodesk Advanced Steel drawing software.
4. Experience with AutoCAD drawing.
