**12 Month Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity**
We are looking for an inspirational and dynamic leader who can bring positivity and energy to the role of Sister within our Nelson Day Unit, to support the development of services which focus on quality and efficiency in our busy department.
We are a progressive and exciting department, which is continuously adapting to meet the needs and enhance the care provided to our patients and we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to work with and lead the team. The postholder will be accountable and responsible for the standards of care provided within the Nelson Day Unit and will work closely with the Clinical Lead for Ophthalmic Theatres around theatre utilisation and productivity. The post holder will be key for leading, supporting and implementing innovative practice within the clinical area.

Nelson Day Unit is based on at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, on Colney Lane, Norwich.
The Clinical Lead will lead and work as part of the Department team, providing professional leadership and management within the work environment. You will be accountable and responsible for the standards of care provided within the ward/department and for leading, supporting and implementing innovative practice.
You will provide direct patient care, demonstrating specialist knowledge and act as a resource and role model for the clinical team. Work in liaison with other Senior Nurses and the Divisional Nurse Director to implement Directorate/Divisional service plans.
You will also support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
