Their services include maintenance, cleaning, security, and technical support, aiming to ensure that the facilities they manage are well-maintained, efficient, and safe for occupants. Currently looking for a Maintenance Engineer - Electrical, you’ll be part of a team that is making a real impact – for a sustainable future.
Responsibilities:
What you’ll be doing:
* Ensure facilities are maintained according to the performance standards outlined in the agreement between our client and public sector organisations.
* Service and repair lighting and power distribution systems.
* Handle reactive repairs to various lighting and power systems.
* Service and repair motors and pumps.
* Maintain and repair fan coil units and related systems.
* Service and repair HVAC control panels.
* Perform Electrical AP duties in line with NHS SHTM regulations (training provided).
* Be proficient in BMS control systems.
* Carry out maintenance duties while supporting the client’s objectives and respecting the dignity and privacy of all residents.
* Always adhere to safe working practices, following Health and Safety regulations, COSHH, Infection Control, and Waste Disposal protocols.
* Maintain asset histories, maintenance records, and helpdesk reports, notifying administrators or tradespeople about necessary follow-up actions.
* Participate in an on-call rota, providing 24-hour, 365-day coverage for the facilities.
* Report all accidents and incidents in accordance with procedures.
* Provide support to other team members on-site to deliver contracted services effectively.
* Undertake other tasks assigned by the management team in relation to operational needs.
About You:
* A qualified tradesperson or experienced professional in property maintenance, with a background in either the public or private sector.
* SQA Certificate in electrical installation parts one and two (or equivalent, including 18th edition regulations).
* Experience with electrical power distribution and lighting systems.
* Experience with HVAC control systems.
* Electrical testing experience (desirable).
* Ability to raise Permits to Work for subcontractors attending the site.
* Conduct site inductions for contractors, with refresher training as required.
* Familiarity with our company’s safety standards and a strong understanding of SHE policies and procedures.
* A valid UK driving licence.
* A PVG/Disclosure check will be required prior to employment.
