The Apprenticeships Admissions Team within the triple accredited Henley Business School is responsible for handling applications for all apprenticeship programmes delivered by the University. This role will play a key part in Henley Business School’s ambitious vision for the future of higher and degree apprenticeships.
The role holder will;
- Lead in organising onboarding activities for applications to apprenticeships programmes; nomination, assessment, communication of decisions and enrolment.
- Contribute to the management and operation of the Apprenticeships Admissions Team.
- Monitor the applicant experience closely and engage in continuous improvement activities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders; including the Apprenticeships Compliance team to ensure compliance under ESFA funding rules and the Business Development function to ensure timely data to support recruitment and conversion activity.
You will have:
- A good first degree or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in Higher Education administration or apprenticeships administration
- Excellent administrative skills
- Ability to use IT systems and software appropriate to the role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Due to business pressures we are looking to appoint to this post by the beginning of March 2025 or sooner if possible.
Safeguarding:
University is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and as such role holders will be required to attend a short scenario based safeguarding interview. Candidates that are successful will be required to provide two references of which one must be from their most recent employer.
Safeguarding responsibilities: contact with apprentices and their personal data, some of whom could be deemed vulnerable. The successful candidate will be required to act within the University of Reading safeguarding policies and procedures, work with safeguarding teams to protect young and vulnerable students, and protect personal information from any potential data breaches. This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. This role is not a regulated activity.
Hybrid working arrangements; We support hybrid working and you will have access to shared offices with some dedicated workstations.
Generous annual leave allowance: We offer a generous entitlement of 26 days in addition to 8 bank holidays and 6 additional closure days at Christmas and Easter time each year where no staff are required to work.
