Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Production team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). You will be responsible for assisting in the provision, management and development of safe and efficient pharmacy production service at NUH. This will include final checking and releasing medicines manufactured, prepared or assembled in the pharmacy production units at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). The position is full time 37.5hours week. Requests from applicants for part time working will be considered. The Pharmacy Production department at NUH has four manufacturing areas. The Sterile Production Unit (SPU), Non-Sterile Manufacturing Unit (NSM) and Pharmacy Packing Unit (PPU) are based at the MHRA licensed facility at the Queens Medical Centre (QMC) campus. The Cytotoxic Chemotherapy Production Unit (Cytolab) is located at the City Hospital Campus. The post holder will be required to work at both the Sterile Production Unit and Cytotoxic Chemotherapy Production Unit (Cytolab) depending on the service demands. To be eligible for this post you must be a registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council, have experience working in hospital pharmacy and ideally in a manufacturing environment.
