We are currently recruiting for an HGV Mechanic to join our transport division at head office located at our Heywood facility.
Working hours will be 06:00 to 18:00 on a 4 on 4 off static day shift pattern averaging 40.25 hours per week with 30 minutes for lunch paying an hourly pay rate of £17.98 and weekly shift allowance of £40.
The role
In this role you will complete varied tasks which include:
1. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
2. Maintain, repair and service units and trailers to MOT standards
3. Making sure vehicle cleaning requirements are up to standard before MOT service
4. Repairing defects
5. General basic garage duties
6. Dealing with breakdowns nationwide
What we are looking for:
7. Experience with maintenance and MOT on HGVS
8. Class 1 licence is desirable
9. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical instrumentation and safety compliance
10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organisation
11. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
12. Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
