The PaaS engineering function sits within the Hybrid Cloud team as part of the wider TDI (Technology, Data & Innovation) area. We are responsible for forward looking technology across Deutsche Bank and offer various platforms to internal application teams across the bank. We aspire to be the benchmark technology organization in Deutsche Bank.
Our goal is to build & offer simple self-service shared platforms for clients to consume and in turn run their own business applications on. We’ll use a combination of open source and vendor technologies coupled with Cloud native services where appropriate and use automation for efficiency and accuracy.
You’ll be an engineer with a wealth of experience and join a team of other enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements. You’ll be familiar with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile practices and able to translate requirements into technical solutions whilst communicating effectively both in and outside your team. You’ll have development skills, familiar with IDE’s and development tool sets.

Your key responsibilities
* Involved in building Cloud native solutions in collaboration with architects, product managers and other key program stakeholders
* Build, configure, and manage software on Cloud and/or on-prem for PaaS solutions
* Responsible to build, tune and perform operational efficiency (low cost/high automation) on production grade systems
* You will work in an Agile manner on the book of work. As part of the team you will be involved in the solution/design and implementation including test, document, and demo
* Work with the customer to drive the design, build and support of our platform; the entire bank's conduit to GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
Your skills and experience
* Hands-on engineer with experience in large-scale enterprise grade projects with cloud native services in any cloud
* Good hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and logging solutions e.g. Splunk
* Experience creating or managing Kubernetes clusters
* Networking (TCP/IP, Load Balancing, Proxy, DNS)
* Experience in at least one of: Ansible Tower, Terraform, Chef, Puppet
