About the role Our Commercial Team, working on the successful United Utilities account, is looking for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the team. In this role, you will support the team in carrying out commercial and contractual duties, assist operational teams as needed, and ensure full compliance with Avove's values. Your focus will be on maximizing the recovery of contractual entitlement, ensuring the success of each project. This is a full-time permanent role and is a hybrid working position working from home and our office in Warrington. Due to additional travelling to our client sites a full UK driving license is a requirement for this role. What will your day look like Support the Commercial Team to ensure compliance with Avove systems, processes and procedures on Contracts. Work within strict deadlines required under the Contract(s) and as required by Avove. Financial monitoring and reporting of Contracts assigned. Assisting and establishing suitable construction contracts with clients to suit procurement needs. Preparation of accurate financial statements in respect of Contracts assigned. Ensuring proper administration of the Contract requirements including all variations (changes) to the works. Assist with commercial completion of the Contracts including maintaining contemporary records for use in supporting claims, extensions of time, and evaluation of variations. Manage the appointment and ongoing management of subcontractors including payment applications, final accounts etc Ensure prompt submission of invoices and/or applications of payment to clients. Assist Business Development in producing information for PQQs and Tenders. About you We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor with an HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. While a degree qualification or studying towards RICS or equivalent is desirable, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving license and the ability to work effectively within a delivery team with multiple drivers. Experience in managing NEC3 or NEC4 Contracts, including target cost, fixed price, and/or cost reimbursable mechanisms, is highly valued.
