Job Description: Leak Detection Engineer

We are a growing, premium damage response business based in Watford servicing clients across London, the Home Counties, and the Southeast.
We are looking for highly competent, experienced individuals to join our Leak Detection and Water Damage team whose main priority is to deliver the high service levels we have a reputation for, to the properties and individuals we service.
As a specialist High Net Worth Leak Detection & Water Damage Technician, you will attend properties that have been affected by water damage and be required to provide an assessment of the cause of damage, identify other factors, and potentially set a program of works to put the property back into a condition where another contractor will reinstate.
Our work is within the high-net-worth insurance sector, meaning we are instructed by insurance companies and are expected to work within certain guidelines and follow specific criteria. We are expected to provide a service that responds to a disaster in an individual's property by managing that situation efficiently and effectively.
Technical Responsibilities
1. Attend water damaged properties and assess damage and provide trace and access/leak detection reports.
2. Undertake any leak detection or trace and access works which includes water leaks in cold and hot feed lines & underfloor heating and heating circuit leaks.
3. Using a variety of equipment - competent in acoustic profiling, thermal imaging, gas tracer equipment, and dye testing.
4. Write detailed reports and schedules of works.
5. Perform risk assessments and other Health and Safety led paperwork.
6. Manage distressed individuals or property owners, explaining what we are there to achieve and managing their expectations.
7. Install drying programs and other equipment - the role will involve learning to be a water technician (training will be given).
