BI Developer
Location: Blackpool - remote working with a minimum of 1-2 days on-site
Salary: £33,000
A BI Developer is required for our client in Blackpool to design, develop, deliver, and support quality analytics and reporting solutions across businesses and proactively contribute to the identification and implementation of efficiencies across all technologies and platforms.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. Working with Business teams in gathering requirements and converting these into modern and interactive data visualisations where appropriate using Power BI.
2. Development and maintenance of all systems and applications supported within the team, including SQL scripts, ETL, SSRS reporting, data warehouses, and Power BI platform.
3. Work with the Manager - Software & BI Development to ensure data consistency, governance, and security are continually improved and reviewed.
4. Working within agreed methodologies, standards, and best practices to deliver a quality solution that meets the agreed requirements.
5. Research and discuss change opportunities relating to software, services, and processes that could aid quality, development, deployment, and efficiency with peers and management.
6. Promote the use of modern tools such as Power BI across the IT landscape.
The following skills and experience will be beneficial for this role:
1. Previous experience working as a BI Developer.
2. Experience in the following: SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server, T-SQL, Power BI, or any other Power BI tool.
3. Database design and administration, where appropriate.
4. Experience of software systems and technical design architecture.
5. Excellent time management and personal organisation skills.
