We are looking for an experienced Excavator Driver to join our Team based in Huntly. An Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery to assist in the construction and maintenance of buildings, roads, and other structures. The role involves handling excavators to move earth, debris, and other materials. Safety, precision, and efficiency are crucial in this role.
Responsibilities.
* Safely and efficiently operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and clear land.
* Load and unload materials, remove debris, and transport materials around the site.
* Assist in preparing construction sites, including clearing vegetation, rocks, and other obstacles.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on the excavator, including checking fluid levels, cleaning filters, and ensuring the machine is in good working condition.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
* Work closely with site supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers to ensure project deadlines are met.
* Maintain accurate logs of operations, including hours worked and materials moved.
Skills & Experience
* Certification: CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) or NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) card for excavator operation.
* Experience: Previous experience operating excavators on construction sites.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in operating various types of excavators and understanding of their mechanics.
* Attention to Detail: High level of precision and care in operating machinery and following instructions.
* Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery and find solutions to challenges on-site.
* Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
