About the Role
Key duties:
* Prepare lunch hall and playground areas for use.
* Clear and clean tables when required.
* Support pupils to understand instructions and encourage independent eating and playing.
* Use effective behaviour management strategies to support children.
* Attend to pupils’ personal needs such as hygiene and eating.
* Administer first aid and report incidents to class teachers.
* Interact positively with children and encourage play.
* Follow school policies including safeguarding and child protection.
* Safeguard children and staff at all times.
* Work collaboratively with all staff.
* Contribute to the good order of the school by completing reasonable tasks as directed by the Headteacher.
Common to all staff:
* Support and contribute to the school’s responsibility for safeguarding pupils.
* Work within the school’s health and safety policy.
* Promote equality of opportunity for all pupils and staff.
* Maintain high professional standards of attendance and conduct.
