About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, we are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Lead Nurse (Independent Prescriber) in Devon. In this role, you’ll lead a team of Independent Prescribers, driving clinical excellence and implementing exemplary practices within our healthcare services. You’ll support the Clinical Service Lead to ensure effective delivery of interventions to reduce substance-related harm and improve health outcomes.
You’ll be part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, which includes comprehensive support from the Clinical Central Department, regular clinical supervision, revalidation assistance, and generous CPD opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily management of nursing and related clinical services, ensuring alignment with contractual and organisational KPIs.
* Lead harm reduction and healthcare strategies, including Hepatitis B/C treatment, Needle Syringe Protocols, Naloxone administration, wound management, liver health, COPD management, and other conditions related to substance use.
About You
Essential Criteria:
* First-level Registered Nurse
* Independent Prescriber qualification
* RCGP qualifications in substance misuse (or willingness to work towards)
* Experience in substance misuse (desirable)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £50,349.00-£59,234.00 per year
