1:1 General Tutor Location: Nottingham (NG6) Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1:1 General Tutor to provide tailored academic support to students across a range of subjects. As a key member of our educational team, you will offer personalised tutoring to meet the individual needs of your students, helping them to achieve their full potential. You will be working in a one-to-one setting, ensuring a focused, supportive, and encouraging learning environment. Responsibilities: Deliver personalised tuition in a range of subjects, adapting to the individual learning style of each student. Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly. Support students with their academic development, helping them build confidence in their abilities. Prepare and organise learning materials, including exercises, homework, and practice tests. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated. Requirements: A degree in an academic subject or relevant teaching qualification. Previous experience in teaching or tutoring, ideally in a one-to-one setting. A passion for education and helping students reach their potential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships. Patience, adaptability, and a student-centred approach to teaching. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one). A clear understanding of the UK curriculum is desirable. Experience tutoring students with learning difficulties or additional needs.
