Client Account Specialist Job Description
SUMMARY
Provides excellent customer service and accurately assesses all customer needs. Coordinates and executes in-house marketing programs. Demonstrates a professional image of the Fully Promoted brand at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Front Counter Sales – Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in and telephone customers.
2. Execute in-house direct mailings.
3. Assure customer satisfaction and send thank you cards with orders.
4. Respond to customer inquiries to determine needs, provide recommendations and quotes, and assist customers with the order process. Obtain information for future contact.
5. Process customer orders. Accurately complete Work Order; obtain customer’s approval and down payment.
6. Telemarketing calls to direct mail listings, existing customer files, new business listings, and no-activity customers.
7. Call outstanding quotations.
8. Prospecting via phone for new customers and generating a list of prospects through lead groups or publications (Yellow Pages, Chamber of Commerce directory, etc.).
9. Maintain a good working relationship with vendors to obtain quotes and follow up on orders in process.
10. Follow up on top 100 customers.
11. Run bi-monthly specials campaign.
12. Implement marketing strategies from the marketing planner. Execute in-house marketing, working with Owner/Marketing Representative.
13. Enter contact names into database for appropriate follow-up.
14. Contact customers when the order is ready.
15. Obtain referrals; determine contact name and phone number, and provide follow-up with that referral.
16. Support Owner as needed with reports, closeouts, invoices, and daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork.
17. Cross-train in other areas of the store to maintain a fully functioning store at all times.
18. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional store appearance at all times.
Education/Experience:
Any combinations of education, training, or general experience that would provide the required skills and knowledge base sufficient for job performance. This includes sufficient formal or informal education to assure the ability to use simple math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions, as well as converting fractions to decimals). Previous experience as a customer sales associate/service representative and previous experience in an embroidery or promotional products shop or graphics industry are preferred.
Knowledge:
Correct English usage including spelling, grammar, and punctuation; ability to proofread; basic math; read and interpret a ruler and use a calculator; basic sales skills; telemarketing skills; experience with a POS/Accounting software system; using a keyboard for typing/data input; apparel basics; computer basics including Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills:
Communication including listening, speaking, hearing, and writing; consulting; being able to assess need and offer possible solutions for consideration; time management; using the phone book or other lists to generate contact companies.

Base Salary: $18-$20/hr with 5% Commission on closed sales.
