Job Description
We have a full-time vacancy for a suitably qualified secretary to join the team of paediatric SLTs based in Lothian (base to be confirmed but likely to be Musselburgh or Edinburgh but can take account of successful candidate’s home address). We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person with excellent spoken and written communication and organisational skills.
The successful applicant will be a member of a team of therapists and assistants delivering a Pan-Lothian service to children and families. Experience of organising, booking and cancelling appointments and ordering and managing office supplies is essential. Knowledge of NHS systems such as TRAK/PECOS/Health Roster is desirable but training can be given. Experience of working with other agencies within health or education would be an advantage.
The speech and language therapy service is innovative and supportive and we are committed to providing a high-quality service focused on the child’s needs. Support and supervision will be available from our Band 4 clerical staff and senior SLTs, and there are opportunities for further training and development within the service.
