Ahead of us, we see great opportunities and are now looking for a Commercial Manager to strengthen Voyage Services. The position is preferably located in Finland, Singapore, UK, or Germany and reports to the Director, Business Development, Voyage Services.
Position Overview:
As a Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our business through effective collaboration with product management, R&D, sales, and other cross-functional stakeholders. Your responsibilities will be twofold:
1. Support in the definition and implementation of our SaaS commercial model, including relevant processes and customer data governance practices.
2. Develop and manage comprehensive sales support materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to both internal sales teams and external customers.
You will ensure consistency and alignment across all sales and customer-facing materials, in line with our branding guidelines and as guided by our Marketing organization, as well as in the definition of appropriate data, processes, and tooling to enable customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with product management to gain deep insights into product roadmaps, features, and updates.
2. Support in Voyage Services strategy and value proposition development and implementation ambitions.
3. Define and implement a model for SaaS business in close collaboration with portfolio management, continuous improvement managers, process owners, and other operating model stakeholders.
4. Develop comprehensive sales support materials, including presentations, datasheets, case studies, and FAQs, to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products to sales teams.
5. Create customer-facing materials such as value proposition-driven product guides, tutorials, and demos that educate and engage our target audience, supporting but not overlapping with Technical Training.
6. Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all sales and customer-facing materials in line with Wärtsilä Branding Guidelines and Marine Marketing strategies.
7. Conduct regular training sessions for sales teams in collaboration with product management to ensure they have a thorough understanding of product features and updates.
8. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to continuously refine and improve sales support materials and related processes, in line with product management, market development, and sales.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, portfolio and product management, and customer support, to ensure alignment and coherence in messaging and strategy.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
2. Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime or related industry.
3. Extensive experience in the SaaS domain.
4. Proven track record of developing and managing sales support materials that effectively communicate product value propositions.
5. Strong understanding of branding principles and ability to ensure consistency in messaging across various channels.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear and compelling messages.
7. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive alignment towards common goals.
8. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to drive strategic decision-making.
