Fully equipped vehicles are provided, all offering state-of-the-art technology to help you complete your routes. So, once you've conducted your safety checks, helped with the sort and loaded up, you can simply head off and drive. You need to be someone who cares deeply about the customer and always puts safety first. Some work-related driving experience would also be great but is not essential. You will need to be 20 or over with a driving licence valid in the UK.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Loading and offloading of vehicles and general sortation of consignments.
2. Accurate checking of items out for delivery on the HHT and reporting of any discrepancies to your line manager.
3. Complete vehicle checks and report any problems.
4. Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards and health & safety procedures.
5. Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day.
6. At the end of the day - return to depot, unload and label non-deliveries, ensuring all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT.
7. Driver debrief with Manager on duty.
8. Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for the next day.
9. Compliance with delivery and collection key performance indicators.
Required Skills
1. Excellent geographical knowledge of the area.
2. Good timekeeping.
3. Excellent customer service skills.
4. Confident in dealing with people on the phone and in person.
5. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
6. Driving Licence valid in the UK.
7. Valid DBS check must be provided.
8. Experience with HHTs.
Pay Rate: £12 per hour
Holiday: 28 days holiday per year (pro rata for part-time positions). Holiday benefit - For every continuous year you're with us, you'll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five.
Hours: Monday to Friday - Up to 10 hours a day - 50 hours per week.
