As Global Safeguarding Lead, you’ll drive TLM’s safeguarding strategy, supporting member countries and partners across continents.From guiding investigations to building capacity, you will ensure TLM's safeguarding systems are effective, inclusive, and compassionate. You'll provide critical technical support and influence how safeguarding is understood, implemented, and lived out across TLM’s Global Fellowship.What You’ll Be Doing- Leading safeguarding strategy and implementation globally across the TLM's Global Fellowship- Designing and updating safeguarding policies and resources in line with global standards- Coaching and supporting safeguarding leads in member countries- Overseeing complex safeguarding cases and investigations- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks- Embedding a culture of safeguarding, learning, and accountability- Acting as Deputy Global Designated Safeguarding Officer- Engaging across cultures, faiths, and time zones with wisdom and graceIs This You?You’re a confident, principled safeguarding professional with a global outlook and practical experience. You bring clarity and courage to complex challenges, balancing justice with compassion. You thrive in collaborative spaces, build trust easily, and lead with integrity and conviction.You’ll Need:- A relevant degree or equivalent experience in safeguarding, global health, education, or related fields- Professional safeguarding qualifications- Extensive international experience in safeguarding roles- Deep knowledge of safeguarding legislation, case management, and best practices- Experience working in or with INGOs, ideally in Asia or Africa- A proven record in developing and embedding safeguarding policies and delivering training- Strong investigation and risk management experience- Exceptional cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills- Ability to work independently and meet complex deadlines- Tech-savvy with collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.)- Willingness to travel internationally- A personal commitment to TLM’s Christian ethos and the ability to work respectfully across faithsWhy Join TLM?At The Leprosy Mission, you’ll be part of a global movement of faith and justice.
