Stephenson Jones Legal specialise in recruiting solicitors, legal secretarial and support staff in the North Yorkshire region. We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary based on the outskirts of York.
Our client is a progressive and successful law firm based in York and is looking for an aspiring legal secretary/administrator to join their expanding team. The role involves assisting two executive assistants in supporting the workload of a team of attorneys. The role is extremely flexible and will involve you in all aspects of the firm’s work.
Duties
1. Accurate audio touch typing of documents such as letters, specifications, documents, contracts, notes, memos, etc.
2. Preparing official forms and notices in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Inputting data on applications and prosecution forms.
4. Preparing online forms.
5. Answering the phone and greeting clients.
6. PA duties such as booking and managing UK and foreign travel arrangements for attorneys.
7. Diary management.
8. Office support including diary data entry, monitoring diary dates, reminding personnel of imminent or future dates.
9. General office management duties, i.e., ordering stationery, sundries, liaising with IT and photocopier suppliers.
10. File management duties including ordering case files and file dividers, ensuring adequate file space.
11. Maintenance of files to include correct copying.
12. Assisting with preparing invoices.
13. Liaising with external providers such as recruitment consultants, marketing advisors, premises, landlords, and service personnel.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Legal secretarial experience is essential. Candidate must live in York or North Yorkshire.
This is a full-time role offering further training and development.
