The role
We are looking to expand our team and we are seeking an excellent Teacher of Design and Technology for September 2025. We welcome applications from those with experience teaching Design and Technology and Food Preparation and Nutrition.
The Candidate
We are seeking a candidate who will be ambitious for our students with a passion for influencing curriculum design and innovative practice, and for identifying and developing student potential is key. A keen desire to make a difference and a belief that a good school can and does make a significant difference to students' life chances and achievement, including the wider skills needed in life.
You will:
* have a passion for Design Technology which is evident in your teaching
* demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver inspirational learning experiences for students
* have an understanding of how to promote effective and inclusive teaching and learning
* be able to evidence success in raising student achievement across a broad range of abilities through successful assessment, monitoring and evaluation of student progress, and the range of strategies that could be used to address underachievement
* possess good communication skills with students, colleagues and parents
* demonstrate a strong desire to undertake Continuing Professional Development to inform teaching
The Department
The Art & Technology department is one of the most popular at Bohunt Farnborough. We offer Art, Photography, Textiles, Design & Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition at GCSE. The department currently has four teachers and a technician, who support the delivery of the curriculum. The department has been well led and the curriculum is interesting and engaging for our students. Our facilities are excellent and the department is ready to flourish in the years ahead and build on its current success.
