Planning Business Director

Daily rate - £450/day
Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Core competencies
The Business Director is the lead of their immediate team; setting the agenda, culture and ways of working. They will lead from the front, and always demonstrate to their team the right path to achieving success with the client. They will have an eye towards the how their team contributes to the agencies growth, and ensures this is a priority.
* Very strong understanding of media channels, as well as being a key partner to the relevant Strategy Director, in connecting insights and strategy with media planning outputs.
* Be the key contact for the senior clients
* Must have strong experience in people management, and be able to oversee how the goals and objectives of the whole team ladder up to the vision for success.
* Must have strong capabilities in training managers to be people managers, giving guidance and encouragement to empower them to grow and develop their own direct reports.
* Show care for team, and desire to nurture their growth and development in the agency
* Must always be on the look out to identify ways to make the team deliver their best work consistently
* Demonstrate excellent client management – from relationship management to crisis control
* Must show enthusiasm and engagement in wider agency initiatives and opportunities
* Have experience with award winning work, and being able to spot opportunities to take good work to great work
* Show interest in building Starcom's reputation, positive relationships with media owners and partner agencies
* It is important to be solutions focused, and drive this thinking in the wider team.
* The Planning Director must SQUAD process is executed where relevant in their teams task’s.
* Strong organisational skills - the Planning team sit at the heart of many other media teams, and coordinating various work streams in a skilled and efficient manner is imperative. The planning director must thrive in getting stuff done right!
