An opportunity has arisen to appoint a housekeeper to work on ward 12 within the Integrated Medicine and Patient Flow Division.
This is an important role within the wider ward team, and every day will provide variety in the role, although the team will remain the same. A DBS check will be required for this post. Please note that if you are successful in your application, you agree that the Occupational Health Department can access your occupational health records from your current or previous employer (in order to check the status of your inoculations and screening tests). Main Duties of the Job
You will be trained on Induction around the aspects of the role, but please read the job description for the full details of the role. The main duties will include:
1. Assisting patients with their nutrition and hydration needs.
2. Moving and handling of a meal trolley.
3. Ensuring ward and patient areas are clean and tidy.
4. Management of stock.
5. Communicating with staff, patients, and relatives both verbally and on the telephone, including welcoming them to the ward environment.

Job Responsibilities
The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team, ensuring a high-quality service to patients. They will be responsible for the coordination of all patient facilities in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The main elements of the role are ensuring the effective provision of catering, cleaning, and maintenance services on the ward. You will also be required to undertake other non-clinical duties to meet individual patient needs as determined by the ward sister/charge nurse and to liaise with support service departments.
To assist the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse in ensuring the appropriate and effective delivery of facilities services in order to properly maintain the patient environment.
The post holder must comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and training on infection prevention and control.

Salary: £23,615 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
