Control and Instrumentation Technician - Wyke

How can you unearth the possibilities with Nufarm?
As a Control & Instrumentation Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of control and instrumentation systems at our Wyke facility. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Project teams to deliver efficient maintenance and troubleshooting while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
What’s possible?
* Perform routine, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on control and instrumentation systems, ensuring maximum equipment availability.
* Ensure safety compliance through risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and adherence to permit-to-work systems.
* Maintain process control systems, including DCS, PLC, Fire & Gas detection, and ESD systems.
* Work within the Oracle EAM CMMS to manage maintenance tasks and ensure optimal planning.
* Support competency-based training and mentor maintenance personnel.
* Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and project teams to implement technical solutions.
* Interface with Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams to ensure seamless plant operations.
What do you bring?
* Experience in Control & Instrumentation maintenance within COMAH, petrochemical, or oil & gas facilities.
* Knowledge of Process Safety Management, PLCs, DCS control systems, Fire & Gas/ESD management, and process instrumentation.
* Strong understanding of chemical production operations and industry standards.
* Proficiency in CMMS and SCM systems (SAP, Oracle EAM) and Microsoft Office tools.
* A team-oriented, adaptable, and innovative approach with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
* Experience in coaching and mentoring maintenance personnel.
* The ability to effectively communicate technical insights to management and operational teams.
