Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the conveyancing process, ensuring that transactions are handled efficiently and accurately. This position requires excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Duties
* Assist our solicitor and our conveyancer in managing residential property transactions from inception to completion.
* Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and property searches.
* Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction to gather necessary information and documentation.
* Maintain accurate records of all correspondence and documentation related to each case.
* Conduct property searches and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Update clients on the progress of their transactions and address any queries they may have.
* Organise appointments, meetings, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of transactions.
* Support the team in administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a conveyancing role is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are crucial for success in this role.
* Proficient in using standard office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and case management experience also a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
* A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A willingness to learn and develop within the role is essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 21 – 35 per week
