What you’ll be responsible for
As a Capital Technical Assistant, you will play a key role within the Enabling Services Team and will be responsible for sourcing and coordinating information and data to support all stages of project delivery within Capital Delivery.
You will be responsible for:
* Sourcing and managing information and data to support project delivery - utilizing skills to gain access to corporate systems and extract, transform, and upload data into various systems across Capital Delivery. The quality of the data provided needs to be of a very high quality due to the safety impact of getting it wrong.
* Develop processes for extracting, transforming, and transmitting data between Welsh Water and Capital Delivery partners and consultants.
* Be responsible for maintaining the data and user input/outputs registers.
* Input into, and participate in robust monthly reporting and reviews as necessary.
* Contribute to the development of a culture of best practice and innovation.
* Provide assistance and ad-hoc training regarding corporate systems across Capital Delivery.
* Assist in testing of changes to corporate systems.
* Support initiatives for BIM, Data Management, and Data Storage.
* Support the Planning and Enabling team in developing and governing the enabling data processes, ensuring that adequate record keeping is maintained for audit purposes.
* Provide general administrative support, including coordinating and supporting project steering groups, minute-taking, ensuring actions are completed, and assisting the chair in running the meetings.
* Undertake information gathering projects under the direction of the Planning and Enabling team.
* Promote and maintain awareness around Health and Safety, proactively identifying and implementing initiatives that create a strong health and safety culture.

About you
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Experience of data and document control
* Excellent IT skills, including the Microsoft package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment where successful performance is critical to the overall company objectives
* Excellent written, verbal communication, and listening skills. Able to adapt style and personalize to suit the audience.
* Exhibit behaviors consistent with the Capital vision and values, including having a collaborative working approach with excellent communication skills
* HNC/D in an Engineering discipline is desirable but not essential
