Our client, a leader in the renewables sector, is currently seeking an experienced Offshore Structural FEA Engineer specialised in Floating Wind to join their innovative team on a contract basis in London. Key Responsibilities: Performing Structural Analysis tasks using Finite Element Structural Analysis software (ABAQUS / ANSYS) Conducting detailed stress analysis of offshore structures using Finite Element Techniques Utilising company standard structural analysis software (SACS, STAAD, GT-STRUDL) for Structural Analysis tasks Executing detailed design calculations as per the latest Industry Codes and Standards including DNV GL, API, AISC, EC, and Norsok Reviewing, commenting, and approving Structural drawings for steel structures Preparing high-quality Design Reports and maintaining records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures Ensuring all activities are consistent with the company's policy on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters Job Requirements: Experience in the design of offshore structures (oil & gas / offshore wind) Knowledge of current Offshore Wind Foundation design practices and developments Understanding of offshore wind regulations, codes of practice, and design standards Familiarity with time domain, spectral, and deterministic methods of fatigue assessment Proficiency in alternative techniques for solving complex structural problems (sub-modelling, influence matrix) Experience in structural analysis software (ABAQUS, ANSYS, SACS, STAAD, GT-STRUDL) Programming skills (Python, C++) are an advantage Must possess full, permanent UK right-to-work status If you are an experienced Structural FEA Engineer specialising in Floating Wind and looking for an exciting new opportunity within the renewables sector, we encourage you to apply now to join our client's dynamic team in London.
