The Quality Improvement (QI) Team are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the team to undertake a variety of administration roles such as supporting project implementation, training delivery, data collection and much more.
The QI Assistant is the heartbeat of the team ensuring smooth day to day running as well as assisting in larger scale changes as the team continues to grow and support the organisation in adopting a quality improvement culture that becomes a part of how the organisation works every day.

Main duties of the job
Provide day to day support for Patient Safety and Quality Improvement initiatives.
Resolve day to day problems independently, but escalate concerns to members of the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement team.
Assist the team in the development of plans and monitoring progress. Plan key workstreams in relation to particular pieces of work.
Design mechanisms for the collection, analysis, and communication of complex data/information sets.
Communicate information about Patient Safety and Quality Improvement projects, including in the developmental stage where the message is constantly changing.
Meet the administration needs of the team, which includes arranging, taking accurate minutes and following up actions.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE at C or above, or equivalent.
* Educated to NVQ level 3/RSA 3/BTEC, Diploma or equivalent knowledge/experience.
* European Computer Driving License (ECDL) minimum basic level.
* Degree level or equivalent.
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality and data quality issues.
* Awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
* An understanding of the current Patient Safety challenges that NHS organisations face.
* Awareness and understanding of Clinical Governance and Clinical Audit.
Experience
* Experience of using Microsoft Word or other word processing packages to produce reports and other documents.
* Experience of using Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet packages to collate and analyse data.
* Presenting complex information in an understandable way.
* Experience of working in a quality improvement environment, e.g. clinical audit, Best Value.
* Experience of using Microsoft PowerPoint or other presentation packages to prepare audio-visual presentation materials.
* Experience of using database packages such as Microsoft Access.
* Experience of using the Formic Data Capture system or similar.
