Golf & Games Assistant - Roehampton, London Reporting to Golf and Games Manager Full Time Contract - 40 hours per week including some evening and regular weekend working during the summer period Salary: £30k Job Purpose: To assist the Golf and Games Manager in the smooth and efficient running of the Golf and Games sections. This would include deputising for the Golf and Games Manager when unavailable and running events, both sports & social. Key Responsibilities: GOLF To be aware of all weekly Golf events, ensuring good forward planning and accurate information is presented to Members and Club staff. To administer all golf competitions and matches. To attend committee meetings when required and take minutes. To support the running of internal and external events for Golf. To deal with all general enquires from Members relating to Golf in person, by phone or email. To maintain Members’ golf handicaps using IntelligentGolf and WHS. To liaise with the Events team for the planning of section food and beverage and room requirements. Ensure the team of Course Marshals are prepared and have all the information they need each day. GAMES To be aware of events within the Croquet and Bridge sections and assist the Golf and Games Manager to ensure good forward planning and accurate information is presented to Members and Club Staff. To support the running of internal and external Croquet and Bridge events. To attend committee meetings when required and take minutes. To support the Games sections (Snooker / Chess / Backgammon) where necessary. To maintain all sports / games section information of the Members’ Website. CLUB Manage the engraving of Club trophies and arrange signwriting of honours boards. To liaise with the Golf and Games Manager on the administration of the Section Funds. To assist the Golf and Games Manager in the preparation of annual budgets. To oversee the preparation of the Club diary. Liaising with other departments on a regular basis including F&B, Events, Course & Grounds, Marketing and Security Key Skills: Must have a sound knowledge of golf. An understanding of the World Handicap System. Must be computer literate, with confidence in using online systems. A good appreciation of sport and games in general.
