International Safety Components (I|S|C, Ltd.) is a leading global provider of height safety equipment. We design and manufacture equipment for a variety of industries including Arborist, Rope Access, Rope Rescue, and Adventure Parks.
This role is responsible for technical support of manufacturing sustaining products as well as new product launches. The role also supports the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and troubleshooting equipment and process issues. Additionally, this position will manage projects aimed towards designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.
Main areas of responsibility are as follows:
* Work on manufacturing momentum products as well as new product launches.
* Support the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and operators and troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
* Manage projects focused on designing and developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity and product quality.
* Engage with cross-functional business team to meet daily production schedules and lead improvement strategies and initiatives.
* Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions.
* Provide technical mentorship and share new learnings across the manufacturing team.
* Conduct Process FMEAs and Process Validations.
* Improve product quality, labour efficiency, and throughput utilising Lean manufacturing concepts.
* Coordinate the design, procurement, build, and debug of tooling, machinery, and test equipment.
* Work with Product Development to ensure Design for Manufacturability, support DVT and Pre-Production phases, and lead new product introduction into manufacturing processes.
* Develop and maintain a vibrant 5S Factory System.
* Maintain good housekeeping, a healthy and safe work environment, and the safe use of equipment and machinery.
* Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction.
* Have the ability to multitask, prioritise work, and make data-driven decisions.
* Work effectively with cross-functional teams.
