PLANT MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER - SOMERSET / WILTSHIRE BORDERS - PERMANENT - £48,000 - £53,000 + OVERTIME
ARM are working with a well-known building materials company who have a global reach. We are currently recruiting for a Plant Maintenance Manager to join their team based in the Somerset / Wiltshire border area on a permanent basis.
About You:
1. You will be an experienced Mechanical Maintenance professional.
2. Your experience will include Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems within a plant or manufacturing environment.
3. You will need to drive and have access to your own vehicle for this role.
4. You will have or be looking for a position within a management role.
5. You will have a positive, can-do attitude and will be unphased with challenges that may occur, demonstrating steadfastness and interest in doing a good job in the right manner.
6. Ideally, your experience will come from a heavy plant, quarry or similar, but this is not essential.
What you will be doing:
This position is an onsite role working both inside and outside to keep the plant operational. You will have a small team of fitters working with you, as well as working with contractors onsite. This role is key to ensuring the success of the plant, maintaining proactive plans for maintenance and reacting to breakdowns. The plant operates 7 days a week, and the team provides coverage day and night. You will be responsible for overseeing team coverage, as well as having some budgetary responsibility and ensuring H&S / legal compliance.
Location and Working Hours:
This position is based close to Frome in Somerset and is commutable from Trowbridge, Castle Cary, Glastonbury, Warminster, Yeovil, and similar locations. It is a full-time position working typically Monday to Friday (48 hours per week contracted) with some flexibility in working arrangements.
What you can expect in return:
The salary for this position is between £48,000 and £53,000, depending on experience and suitability for the role. There may be some scope to exceed this for an exceptional candidate. There is also the ability to work overtime. The company offers a bonus scheme that pays roughly 2% of salary on an annual basis, along with a generous pension scheme and holiday allowances. There is also a real chance of progression within the organization.
