Platform Securities is a wholly owned subsidiary of FIS and has 3 key UK business lines primed for growth. The core Wealth business is going through a period of change and as such we require an experienced and resilient Risk Manager to roll their sleeves up and be prepared to work hard and pick up lots of different tasks in the risk space. This is a London based role and the successful candidate is required to work in the office 2 days a week and travel to the key business hub of Birmingham.
The role sits within the small Risk Team (3 FTE) in UK Platform Securities ‘Wealth as a Service’ (WaaS) business. You will be the SME for a wide range of responsibilities which include reporting, risk event review and analysis and leading on vendor and outsourcing governance. This is a fast paced, hands-on role with many different areas of focus and tight deadlines.
You will be someone with experience in the identification, evaluation and prioritisation of risks and risk management techniques, coupled with being able to work with Senior Management and build strong stakeholder relationships across the company.
The Risk Manager will have experience in working on key risk projects such as ICARA, RCSA, Risk Appetite and KRIs and be able to evidence updating senior committees in current or prior organisations. Ideally the Risk Manager will be technically proficient and capable of using technology to deliver high quality MI and reporting.
What you will be doing:
* Identifying, recording and managing risks.
* Partnering with operational teams to work though potential risk mitigation and ensure that these are tracked, delivered and open risks are closed.
* Preparing and submitting Management Information, Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.
* Analyzing data and holding the pen to update on key risk collateral including :
o ICARA Material Harms
o RCSA Risks and Controls
o Key Control Universe
* Supporting on Vendor and Outsource Governance.
* Supporting the Head of Risk and Operational Resilience Manager.
Additionally, the successful candidate will support the Head of Risk with other key activities including:
* Creating and reviewing the Monthly Risk Committee collateral
* Creating and reviewing Quarterly Board Committee collateral
* Educating operational teams on Risk identification and mitigation
* Challenging on risk events and delivery of mitigating actions
* Stepping into cover for the Head of Risk.
What you Bring:
