The Role:
We’re looking for a dedicated ASD Specialist Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 and in small groups, helping neurodiverse pupils overcome learning barriers, regulate emotions, and build essential social communication skills. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support for children with Autism and associated needs
* Implement strategies from EHCPs and IEPs with guidance from the SENCO
* Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour reinforcement
* Facilitate communication and social interaction in structured settings
* Track progress, celebrate achievements, and nurture self-esteem
Ideal Candidate:
* Psychology graduate (2:1 or above preferred)
* Experience supporting children or young people with ASD (school, clinic, or voluntary)
* Empathetic, emotionally intelligent, and resilient under pressure
* Strong interest in SEN education, mental health, or therapeutic work
* Committed to safeguarding and child welfare
