About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide emotional and social support to students with SEMH needs, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective lesson plans, ensuring seamless delivery and student engagement.
* Support students during transitional periods, offering guidance and reassurance as needed.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote student motivation and engagement, enhancing their overall educational experience.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff members to create and implement Individual Education Plans, tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of their challenges and requirements.
* A proven track record of providing emotional and social support, promoting positive relationships and outcomes.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with educators and staff members.
* An empathetic and patient approach, with a commitment to creating a supportive learning environment.
