An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Procurement Specialist to join a leading professional services firm. This role offers the chance to work on strategic procurement initiatives, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to optimise IT sourcing and supplier relationships.
The Role
The successful candidate will take ownership of IT procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality sourcing of IT services, software, and infrastructure. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and working with internal teams to deliver effective procurement strategies.
IT Procurement Specialist, Key Responsibilities:
* IT Procurement Expertise - Lead procurement activities across IT categories, including SaaS, hardware maintenance, telephony, and communications.
* Strategic Sourcing - Develop and implement sourcing strategies to drive value and efficiency.
* Contract Negotiation - Manage negotiations covering commercial terms, contracts, and supplier agreements.
* Stakeholder & Supplier Management - Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to align procurement with business needs.
* Risk & Compliance - Ensure procurement processes adhere to legal, financial, and compliance requirements.
IT Procurement Specialist, What's Required:
* Experience of leading on end-to-end IT procurement projects, ideally within a professional services environment.
* Strong knowledge of IT sourcing processes and procurement best practices.
* Proven ability to negotiate SaaS contracts and IT-related commercial agreements.
* Experience working with professional service categories and strategic procurement initiatives.
* Strong contract negotiation skills, including terms & conditions and commercial structures.
* Bachelor's degree / CIPS qualification (preferred but not essential).
