Working Pattern: 25 hours per week The role: Early Years Teaching Assistant. As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate learning activities for children ages 2 and above. Working closely with the lead teacher, you will assist in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, helping to foster children's emotional, social, and cognitive development. Your role will include supporting individual and group learning, observing progress, and ensuring the well-being of all children in your care. Key requirements: Must hold an approved Level 3 qualification. Skills and experience : Experience working with young children (preferably in an Early Years setting), with a good understanding of child development from age 2 and above. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience and empathy, with a nurturing attitude to support children's emotional and social development. Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its application in daily teaching practices. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of young learners. Teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work alongside teaching staff and support the delivery of lessons and activities. Organisational skills to assist with classroom management, record-keeping, and preparing resources. First aid training (desirable, or a willingness to complete training). A relevant qualification in childcare or education (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ, or equivalent) is preferred but not essential. A passion for early childhood education, with a commitment to helping young children develop the skills and confidence to succeed.
