Vacancy - Maintenance Planner
Are you seeking a role in which you be the principle contract and liaison between the maintenance department and operational planning? Do you thrive on providing efficient and effective plans for the engineering department? We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team based in Runcorn, and help us keep the world moving!
Your Role
You will play a key role in the effective planning, execution, and monitoring of team activities to optimise performance within designated timeframes.
1. Conduct weekly review meetings to assess progress.
2. Update action lists to ensure accountability.
3. Analyse team performance to identify areas for improvement.
4. Draft and publish work schedules and prepare job packs.
5. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
6. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and address operational challenges.
The focus will be on ensuring the integrity and longevity of mechanical, electrical, and civil assets within the business unit, which is essential for maintaining high operational standards and minimizing downtime.
What you'll bring
You will have experience in leading multi-functional engineering teams in heavy industry or manufacturing. You will have knowledge of regulations such as DSEAR, PUWER, LOLER, and COSHH, and have experience with risk assessments and producing Root Cause Analysis documentation. Excellent communication skills are essential for building relationships with stakeholders.
Key qualities include strong analytical and organisational skills for assessing team performance and managing schedules, as well as advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel for reporting and data analysis. Previous experience in budget management, auditing, and motivating team members is also beneficial. An initiative-taking problem-solving attitude and technical aptitude are crucial for enhancing operational effectiveness and achieving team goals.
