Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Engineer will also be responsible for supervising junior staff and providing excellent customer service.
Working Hours: 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday
Main Tasks:
Safety:
* Respect company safety and ergonomic rules at all times.
* Always wear defined personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Identify safety risks & immediate notification to the Management team to secure appropriate corrective action.
* Promote risk identification to ensure knowledge & understanding of safety.
Profit:
* Ensure maintenance activities are consistent with planned output.
* Take part in countermeasures for production continuation in case of unplanned events.
* Immediate escalation of issues impacting production to Production Manager or delegate.
* Involvement in productivity workshops to improve efficiency & reduce costs.
Product:
* Top level maintenance of all machinery.
* Involvement in countermeasures & corrective actions for all plant and equipment defects.
* Ensure maintenance output is respecting all quality & technical requirements.
* Utilize maintenance task board as instructed.
* Work to the defined TPM programme.
Process:
* Participate in production daily start-up & closure activities.
* Work additional hours where required and agreed with management.
* Work during production shutdown periods.
* Involvement in 5S workshops & audit of current zones.
* Cleaning & top level maintenance of all machinery.
* Fork lift truck & crane operation (as required).
* Support all other business requirements as & when needed.
People:
* Participate in defined company training.
* Respect all company handbook regulations.
* Compliance of all legal & ethical standards.
* Close liaison with production staff.
Progress:
* Support the company 4C philosophy at all times.
* Support the company Continuous Improvement program at all times.
* Make suggestions for improvement & help implement agreed actions.
* Participate in improvement projects according to business requirements.
* Support lead time reduction activities to decrease through-put time.
* Support company total productive maintenance (TPM) program.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £30.00-£38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
